POST Tour Extension: Iceland Adventure

Day 1 (16th August 2026) - Heimaey (Westman Island) sightseeing (B, D)

Following on from Day 9 of the Main Greenland tour, after the Heimaey guided walking and Museum tour, take the ferry to the mainland and transfer by coach for a southern Iceland adventure.  En route to your hotel visit Seljalandsfoss and Gljufrabui Waterfalls. Overnight in Hella.

Day 2 (17th August 2026) - Activity Day (B, D)

Enjoy an adventure day filled with super jeep riding, the Katla ice cave, glacier hiking at Myrdalsjokull, and visiting the Solheimajokull Glacier and spectacular Skogafoss Waterfall.  Sometimes called Crystal Caves, the ice caves in Icelandic glaciers are a truly mesmerizing wonder of nature. See up close and personal why Iceland is called the Land of Fire and Ice on this extension tour.

Day 3 (18th August 2026) - Reykjanes Peninsula (B)

Today travel towards the Reykjanes Peninsula, where the North-Atlantic Ocean ridge comes ashore, and the manifestations of the continental rift zone between North America and Eurasia are prominent. Reykjanes means the steam peninsula and the area features a unique volcanic landscape, recognized by UNESCO as the Reykjanes Geopark, with 55 defined geosites.  Overnight Reykjavik.

 

Day 4 (19th August 2026) - Depart Reykjavik (B)

Today is the last day of the Post Tour extension. Join your return flight.

Single Room Supplement – GB£725 / US$895

For single travellers, we are usually able to arrange shared accommodation with a person of the same gender – this is known as ’twin share’ accommodation. Please choose the ‘share twin room (male or female) option on the booking form.

WHAT'S INCLUDED IN MY TOUR?

• Accommodation on the tour from check-in on Day 1 (usually around 3pm) to check-out (usually around 10am) on the final day of the tour. 

• Daily meal plan as outlined in the above tour summary. B = Breakfast, L = Lunch, D = Dinner

• All transfers, transportation, flights, trains, and local excursions as outlined in the itinerary (if applicable).

 

WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED IN MY TOUR?

• Optional excursions mentioned in the tour are offered closer to the tour departure date (approximately 6 months prior to the tour departure).

• Departure airport transfers and assistance offered closer to the tour departure date (approximately 6 months prior to the tour departure).

• International flights. Our flight partner, Star Travel UK, can assist with an international flight quote approximately 11 months in advance of the tour departure.

• Additional nights outside the tour dates.  If required these can be requested at the booking stage, with costs being advised approximately 6 months prior to the tour departure.

• Porterage, gratuities and tips.
